Editorial responsibility

The site is maintained independently. Editorial responsibility includes platform selection, data accuracy, verification status, source review and corrections.

How we select platforms

We include platforms that are relevant to active day traders in the US market. Selection is based on:

• Availability of day-trading-relevant features (hotkeys, DOM, bracket orders, API)
• Market access (stocks, options, futures, forex, crypto)
• Regulatory status and account protection
• Relevance to our target audience of active retail traders

We do not accept payment for inclusion in our comparison. Platforms are listed based on editorial relevance.

Research process

Pricing is recorded as structured rules (commissions, caps, minimums and plan fees) with a source URL. Feature and regulation records are kept separate from calculator rules. A source URL alone does not make a record verified; unconfirmed records remain review-needed. Read the full methodology.

Fact-checking process

• Structured pricing records include the official pricing URL used for review
• Margin and account requirements remain review-needed until the current broker schedule is checked
• Regulatory records use FINRA, SEC, CFTC and NFA sources where applicable
• A full verification date is stored only after the current primary source is inspected
• Unconfirmed data is marked review-needed instead of being presented as verified

Official source policy

Official sources always take priority over secondary references. We do not source pricing or regulation from competitor comparison sites. Where an official source is unavailable, the data point is labeled accordingly.

Pricing and regulation review frequency

We aim to review pricing and regulation quarterly and prioritize material changes when they are identified. Only records with a verified status display a completed verification date. A page-level update date does not imply that every underlying data record was reverified.

Material update policy

Changes to commission rates, plan fees, margin rules, regulatory status or core features are treated as material and prioritized. Cosmetic or minor copy changes are not logged individually.

Corrections process

If you identify inaccurate information, please contact us with the affected URL, the incorrect information and an official source. We verify claims against primary sources and correct confirmed errors. The affected record is then assigned the status supported by the current evidence.

Affiliate independence

• The site does not currently publish numerical platform scores or an algorithmic ranking
• Affiliate status is not an input to calculator formulas, cost sorting or verification statuses
• The homepage uses a neutral alphabetical default order
• Platforms without affiliate relationships use the same data fields and source-status rules

Paid placement policy

Platform review policy

Standalone platform review pages are planned. Until a review is published, a platform is represented only by its structured data, comparison-table row and calculator output - not by a fabricated hands-on review.

AI-assisted content policy

AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting or code generation. Factual claims, pricing data and regulatory information must either be checked against a primary source or remain visibly labeled review-needed; AI output alone cannot create a verified status.

Content standards

• We do not fabricate testing experiences or claim hands-on use we have not performed
• We do not publish platform-specific superiority claims without current supporting evidence and clear qualification
• We do not copy content from competitor sites
• All content is written in natural, clear English for a trading audience
• We clearly distinguish between brokers, platforms and charting tools
